Who we are

Twelve Studio is a product of TwelveAI. This policy covers the Twelve Studio website and application. When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean TwelveAI. Questions about this policy: Email tech@twelveai.app or call +234 903 901 1682.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a password, which we store only as a one-way hash.
• Your content: projects, scripts, narration text, uploaded images, clips and audio, website addresses you ask us to capture and the screenshots we take of them, and the videos we render for you.
• Billing details: your plan, subscription status, amounts, and the card brand and last four digits returned by our payment provider. We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Usage records: renders you start and how they finished, assistant requests and their size, and plan usage counts used to apply your limits.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and request times in our server logs, kept to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

We use this information to provide Twelve Studio: to sign you in, store and render your projects, voice your narration, apply plan limits, take payment, answer support requests, keep the service secure, and fix problems. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your content to advertise to you.

Voice and captions run on our servers

Narration is generated by open-source speech models running on servers operated for TwelveAI, and caption timing is measured on the same servers. Your narration text is not sent to a third-party voice service.

The writing assistant

When you use the writing assistant (for example Write with AI, Polish or Fit to length), the text you provide, your narration, and the names of your uploaded files are sent to OpenAI to generate the response. OpenAI processes this under its API terms. The assistant is only used when you ask for it. Nothing else in Twelve Studio is sent to OpenAI.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by TwelveAI Business. You enter card details on its hosted checkout page, and card data is handled by its licensed payment partners, not by Twelve Studio.

Website capture

When you ask us to import a website, our servers load the public page you give us, scroll it and take screenshots of each section. We store those screenshots in your project. Only capture sites you have the right to use.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host our servers and process data on our behalf.
• OpenAI, only for writing assistant requests you make.
• TwelveAI Business and its payment partners, to process subscriptions.
• Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect our users, the public or the service.

We share only what each recipient needs for its job.

Where it is processed

Our servers and some of our providers, including OpenAI, may be located outside Nigeria. Where personal data leaves Nigeria we rely on the safeguards required by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content while your account is open. When you delete a project, its uploads and renders are deleted. When you ask us to close your account we delete your account, projects, uploads and renders within 30 days. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are rotated regularly.

Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies over HTTPS, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, and similar laws where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To make a request, email tech@twelveai.app or call +234 903 901 1682. We will respond within the time the law allows. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

Twelve Studio is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date below, and tell you by email or in the app if the change is significant.
